Degree Programs

Master of Divinity (MDiv)

The Master of Theology and Pastoral Care is a first-class theological degree leading to ordination into pastoral ministry. This program is accredited by the European Council for Theological Education (ECTE). Applicants for this program are those with a vocation to pastoral ministry.

Master of Leadership and Management (MLM)

The program aims to train Christian students in management and leadership. The 54 – credit program is delivered over three to four years, taught in Arabic. Some courses are taught online or at the college’s campus during the scheduled academic year, which begins the third week of September and ends at the end of May.

Master of Arts in Theology (MAT)

Master of Arts in Theology. This program is accredited by the European Council for Theological Education (ECTE).
The program features the following:
The language of instruction is Arabic, but a basic level of English is required.
The program lasts from 3 (full-time) to 6 (part-time) years. Students complete 72 credit hours (3,240 actual hours).

Doctor of Ministry (DMin)

Fuller is excited to launch this brand new cohort in partnership with the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo. Ministry in Middle Eastern contexts is challenging, and sometimes dangerous. This Fuller DMIN cohort will bring the best scholar-practitioners together with students who are exceptional ministry leaders to create a learning environment that is theologically rich, contextualized, and practical.

Master of Theology (ThM)

The Master of Theology (ThM) is a degree program that is open for students with a previous theological degree (MDiv or MAT) and is conducted in English. ETSC’s ThM program focuses on Bible and theology in the context of Egypt and the Middle East. The program is intended to deepen students’ academic qualifications for teaching, further studies, and scholarly research.

 

Doctor of philosophy (PhD)

Non-Degree Programs

Diploma of Arabic Christian Heritage (DACH)

Diploma Objectives:
To learn about the Arab Christian heritage and its spiritual, cultural, and civilizational value.
To deepen ecumenical relations among students.
To build bridges between students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Certificate in Theological Studies (CTS)

A program for undergraduate students who have completed at least two years of university. It aims to develop ministry, deepen theological knowledge, confirm a call to ministry, or address intellectual challenges. It is open to undergraduate students who wish to study a short program.
The program includes 24 credit hours and is part-time. Classes are taught in Arabic and are offered at the college/online. 

Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies (GCTS)

This program is offered to graduates of the MA/BA programs at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo who wish to take certain courses to qualify for the Master of Theology (ThM) program or for independent study.

Studies are in Arabic and are offered online at the college. Study is conducted online using a flipped classroom system, with discussion meetings (for each course, at least three or four discussions per semester). These meetings can be attended in-class and/or online, depending on coordination with the professors of each course and the country in which the students are located.
